Mediocrity has become the norm
by mailer on Mar 16, 2010 02:06 PM

We should not fight among ourselves for what arun shourie said. He indeed pointed towards a burning problem of the country. In one hand, the mediocrity developed due to bad politics of the country of which Mr Shourie is a contributor, in the other had reservation policy of the country has taken its toll. Efficient and batter qualified taking the back seat is a national loss. We have to admit this for the existing policy. All this created mediocrity in the policies, administration, society. the country is drifting towards the dark. We should not fight among us in support/against the existing policy rather we should think and change the policy keeping aside the vested interest.

During the rule of Janata party in 1977, L K Advani delibrately took the portfolio of broadcasting minister in hte cabinet of Morarji bahi Desai.Advani appointed his key people in media and govt. broadcastign services who were loyal and supportes of the then Jansangh/RSS ideology.
Arun shourie,Rammoothy and N. Ram from the Indian express group were such Snaghi supporters.Through the media they propogated the Jansangh(later BJP) and the RSS and its ideology and at the right time they became active in the BJP after completing their mission.
But all these chaddhis have lshort term gain and no long term achievments because all their policies are based on hatred towards others.

Mediocrity has become the norm

Mr. Arun Shourie has pointed towards a just. Reservation means a place for disabled. Lots of discussion is going on but mediocrity making the country a place of avarage, avarage politics, avarage administration, avarage society (low). We should fight to curve the evil of reservation to drive out mediocrity and not fight among ourselves taking country's great son's name.

For all the LAZY People FOREVER, who hide under Caste, Religious, Ethnic identities. Try some Hard-Work for a change.

Unfortunately India is divided and doomed.
We do not have a single good leader of national importance who can unite us.

Why the out of context reference of Ambedkar. Ambedkar was in fact just a compiler of the British Constitution. He did not have any creative role in it.

India's Constitution is unique and original. It is not copied and is very specific and connected to India's unique setting.

Shourie called Ambedkar a false God. He is himself so mediocre and is trying to preach to others.

Our Constitution is not original nor unique, its just copy paste of British Constitution and Ambedkar wasn't more then a good compiler. he is the reason for the division in Hindu Society and his contribution to Indian Society is nothing but a big Zero.

why do u think u will be abused? it is sad.
anyway, ambedkar was ambedkar. how can u compare him with shourie? ambedkar raised his voice against a social evil when it was very difficult to be a dalit. he was a leader, a great reformer and thinker. how his name is being spoiled today by likes of paswan and mayawati is sad.
the real tragedy is that a very powerful obc lobby has hijacked the dalit movement in india. the biggest enemies of dalits ahve always been the obc's not uppercastes. you look at UP , Tamilnadu, Bihar etc see maximum atrocities against dalits are committed by OBC;s.
The mandal agitation was not against dalits but against the unnatural demand of these so called 'backwards' for reservation.

The first and foremost thing for you to do is to emulate what Shourie has already achieved. He is a Phd in economics from Syracuse university from USA where there are nobel-laureates among teachers. He is a former deputy director of World Bank , former Editor-in-Chief of Indian Express on two occasion for several years , a brief stint as Executive Editor of The Times of India and author of more than twenty books, published by reputed Indian house and internatiional entity like Harper and Collins. I think this CV of Arun Shourie should be enough to teach you to put a leash on your PC and also on your tongue.
