Loan........
by bijal goswami on Jul 06, 2010 04:19 PM  | Hide replies

In India loans are more rich people only. Strugglers, Middle Class, Job seekers are shown the door. How can we the young generation try to make it big in business with loans. No business can survive without working capital.

I have paid my business loan in HDFC completely without any cheques returned. Yet i was refused another business loan because of poor banking. Loans are ment to be used in times of financial difficulty. Well this puts my business three years backward. Thanks to HDFC Bank for refusal.

Small SME borrowers should always bank with PSU banks; True they trouble you with their Babu ways. But, they stick to you to the end.

SBI

Even with SBI i am struggling to get a loan for my property which is 400 Km away from my work place.
Do you know how long i am struggling? It is more than 15 months!!!
Though the Manager at the bank who has recommended is doing his best but somebody at the Districh Head quarters is stopping it siting some filthy reasons.
Even with clearing all his flimsy reasons there is no forward movement.
I paid the SBI agent Rs 2000 and they have also completed their work in MArch.2010
I do not know where to approach for grievance addressing
It all depends on individuals than as a bank for Outstation property loans

I got a loan from SBI, for a flat in visakhapatnam, while I was staying in Mumbai. I think it depends on the dealing officers, technically it is possible

Why so
by iota on Jul 02, 2010 01:40 PM  | Hide replies

Home Loans are NOT AVAILABLE normally to self-employed people. This is really bad.

Even if you provide extensive proof of income most banks do not entertain you.

This is not entirely true, if you provide IT returns for 3 years, and maintain a Balance sheet audited by a CA, I thik, that should not be a problem

Land mafia have made Buying a House a......Distant dream
by Tajinder Virdi on Jul 01, 2010 10:05 PM  | Hide replies

Bnaks want buyers to pay 20% of the total amount before they agree to pay rest amount.Land mafia did not lower the rates as they are not affected by recession. They are happy turning their black money into white with the help of deaf and dumb state and central govts. We still do not have proper laws to defend ourselves from builders.hope people become aware and govt too wakes up.As people like me are not going to buy house till the time this mess is cleaned up.

Unless you are living in a metro and approach some luxury builder such as DLF/Unitech/Tata etc, you cannot even pay in White if you want to. They accept only 50% or less as White.
Almost all the builders have connections with Politicians and these politicans get some direct cut.

Housing loan from HDFCz
by Narayanasamy Narasimhan on Jul 01, 2010 08:51 AM

It was in 1981 when I constructed a house in
SS Colony Madurai for which I got a loan of
Rs.21000/- from HDFC (at that time there was one
branch only for the whole state of Tamilnadu),
they have not seen me but only the documents,
I was asked to come, complete the doc formalities and get the loan payment in full.

This facinated me to direct my two sons to go
to HDFC for their Home Loan requirements.
They are happy with HDFC.

Kudos to HDFC
