What is sold at modeling? Answer is Greed and Envy. Egoism, mental impressions, senses, cravings, likes and dislikes, lust, jealousy, greed, pride and hypocrisy are one’s dire enemies. When ones intelligence is overpowered by greed, he or she fails to see the destruction of the self.
Without hope and with the self controlled mind , having abandoned all greed, doing mere bodily action, a person incurs no sin.
What the models, who are alive, are saying is about modelling profession may not be true. They say those things to assure themselves.Common people may not care about model's lives, but those who run the industry hold them in contempt .without compromises no girl can become a model. When they cross the age of 35 they old are hags and none wants them for anything.

Gitanjali, It is the exploitation by the greedy people. Humanbeings especially much attracted towards fame, physical needs and financial capablities. These greedy people just run a film infront of people and brainwash them. people fall prey. After exploitation the greedy people change the person. the previous one becomes insecure.

It is nothing but the plot of greedy people (the organisers) join hands with hospitality service providers (these are decent attributes but in reality theire work is different) advertise the show. The heirs of wealthy people dont care for the money pour in abundantly. Poor models excited by the viewers' claps become happy to be admired with considerable income. how lon this will live. Poor models feel outdated within short period.
The pressure to excel and out do a competitor cause pressure on the minds of the people engaged in show business. Modelling is only a specialised profession branching out of the other show business. Lady models should never be allowed to live their lives alone and should always live with their family members. They should also develop the habit of reading and occasional writing. These would help them to arrest the tension and fear of losing at bay and also tackle the situations arising. Modelling is not the only profession succumbing to pressure.Means to imbibe discipline should also be inclulcated in them. In the absence any organised bodies, social activists to act in trying to evolve means to overcome the present problem in the modelling profession.
People committ suicides when they are unable to cope up with the pressure and are in depression... It can happen to anybody and in any profession..
The media gives prominence to the suicides committed by those in the glamour world... So if a new bride committs suicide somewhere in remote part of the country, it may not get reported or may get reported in less than 50 words... Whereas if a super model committs suicides it will take 2-3 pages for a week...
More than the profession, blame it on the lifestyle which this models adapt, excessive boozing, smoking, drugs, getting in and out of relationships, which eventually takes a toll on their nerves...and then finally blame the "Man" who comes along.

Gitanjali, models don't know the truth. They think people get attracted to see the physical showoff. They or wrong. There are people attracted by just seeing the name (although they have not seen the owner of the name). You just ask those men who got attracted just by name about the feeling towards that name. They simply say it is fantaaaaaastci.
