confusion regarding health insurance policy
by adish jain on Feb 12, 2014 02:26 PM

Hi,,

I am adish from noida.I am 26 year old.I have a health insurance with Oriental Insurance Company and my father (age-59) and my mother(age-54) also included in that as dependent. My father do not have any pre-existing disease.Recently he had chest pain so doctor advised him for Angiography safe side.
I am confused this will cover in health claim or not as he has not any pre-existing disease but no test has been performed at the time of policy booking.
Is their any policy which cover angiography/angioplasty if patient do not have any pre-existing disease.
Please advise.

Thanks,
Adish

Insurance - how it is supposed to work..
by rajiv on Jun 21, 2010 03:50 PM  | Hide replies

Basically insurance is supposed to work with the assumption (and reality) that almost everyone carries risk however just a few unfortunate actaully meet and suffer from it.
All contribute to the kitty and sufferes are paid back or compensated for.can be good enough to pay big amounts to few people.
That is why small premium from all

Unfortunately "Insurance" has become a business for Insurance Companies.
It all started with "Social Service" in mind but now no more.
How else can insurance companies make huge profits on top of paying good commissions to agents?
Premium should be lowered to a level so that companies make just thin profit to sustain.
