Dalhousie v/s Khajjiar
by sushma panwar on Jun 29, 2010 03:40 PM

I do not agree that khajjiar can be given a miss at all.. in fact you must stay there in the cottage right in the middle of the meadow to enjoy the natural and breathtaking beauty of Khajjiar. You wake up in the morning and open the door to the beautiful sight of the meadow before you and animals grazing the grass.. Its simply awesome.. Dalhousie is not at all impressive and i was totally disappointed to see the place which seemed like a concrete jungle to me. If you love nature and want peace then do stay at khajjiar and not dalhousie. You may not enjoy the place if you are visiting it for a few hours. You must stay there to experience the tranquility the place has to offer... but i guess its more like beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.. some find concrete jungles breattaking whereas i find being with nature beautiful.

Dalhousie is not for casual tourists
by manek kapur on Jun 17, 2010 02:07 PM  | Hide replies

Do not visit Dalhousie if you like Simla or Masourie. Its not a usual hill station,
its a kind of town where you stay, especially if you are an artist like writer or painter, as it can be closest to the nature.
and if you come here with children then you'll find this place boring, as there is not much to offer.
and khajiar is a must go place especially if you are a tracker and like para gliding, its highest and longest in the country Rs 2500-3000
I feel pity for this small town when i see illiterate tourists throwing plastic bags and littering around.
