Infosys VP: Knowledge, not certifications, will get you jobs
by subhabrata das on Jul 01, 2011 03:38 PM

Practically it's the certifications which get you thejob, knowledge requires in prfessional growth. Certificate is the ticket enter in the field, and knowledge is the skill required to win the match.

Hilarious

" Move beyond 'me and marks', to 'us and our clients'. Work hard, the rest will follow"

This coming from a company who says atleast 70% or more required by freshers and where memorization of brain teasers as questions are done to clear the entrance tests for the job there.

All bodyshops like this company will sing a different tune if the requirements of their clients change.

I was going to compare bodyshop companies like this to a p*mp who obtains commissions by charging their clients by providing pros******* but that would be too cheap even for Infy.

Hilarious.

the only way to encourage IT talent
by Raj Thackersey on Jun 20, 2010 01:20 AM

the only way to encourage IT talent is to promote project competitions. Instead of judging by the ability to solve shakuntla devi puzzles, does infy have the vision to hold some grand IT project competetions and make selections based on the displayed projects.

Only managers from the Labs shd be allowed to be judging and not some PM

This is the only way we will encourage better product development and innovation in our IT industry

Knowledge
by arungopal agarwal on Jun 15, 2010 05:05 PM

Does not apply to Govt. jobs, where anyone from IIIrd grade university want to match with IIT or IIM only, and where SC/ST/Women etc., are more important.

bull shit
by Sanjeev Gupta on Jun 15, 2010 04:05 PM

infosys will look for students only scoring over 70%. if only knowledge is the criteria, why this restriction...it actually does a differentiation based on the institutes u qualify. if u r from one of the best institutes, u r placed in better positions, as if all the knowledge is owned by them only..
they r unable to manage their employees..no wonder those guys have started posting all their frustrations on the net.. is this srikanta moorthy aware of all this...or is he only blabbering in public and exposing himself..??????
