Purohit .. first of all congratulations for standing second rank in this exams. But do not spoil your life ... Dont do something 'hatke'.... You are intelligent .... Be in a big post, get a handsome salary and keep your parents and family happy.

His "hatke" style will be curtailed soon by his CORRUPT bosses...He too will put his bosses shoes soon...
Without trying to be too cynical, but being rather realistic, the chances of this individual becoming an "Agent of Change" for himself and his family are much greater than for the public. For, there is no place for a person who would like to be honest in Indian Public Service. Yet, if this person still tries to be honest, chances are he will be shunted out and will not be allowed to settle in any posting. In the worst case scenario, he could also be killed. So, it would be wise, if this person does not given people unnecessary hopes. That way, people will not get disillusioned when they hear reality about this person.
Only time will tell doctors after passing MBBS says they will serve the poor but later busy in minting money and similarly IAS officers become billionarie
Pls track him.May be about 10-15 yrs down the line, his name will be a house-hold name for being the most corrupt Babus in the country!. It has become a fashion these days to talk big immediately after being a topper in any competetive exams. when it to deliver, most of them fail miserably.Being an Agent of Change in a highly corrupt society like India is really a BIG ASK.All said and done... I still wish him good luck.

Well Chandra, the corruption that u talk about is painful but we must desist from passing such comments for a youngster. We must be hopeful he may not be of that type, rather he should be a catalyst for change, we should hope. Only youngsters hold the hope for this country because they are already well fed. Keep it up Prakash !

Sentiments are different from reality. Purohit may indeed be an "agent for change" and one can hope that he will become. But, if one takes a realistic view, the chances for this to happen are very remote. Being "well fed" as you say, is not sufficient reason for someone to be honest and consequently, being poor does not mean that the person becomes dishonest. Further, if Purohit still wants to be an idealist, chances of his being allowed are absolutely remote - infact non-existent.

Yes you are absolutely correct. Lets track all the honest officers and support them to make India a better nation to live.
