HE did the right thing, in corporate world he would have earned nothing in whole life, now he would retire with at least 100cr wealth if not more.

Government should ban professionals from taking UPSC exams Nothing personal against anybody. Look at doctors and engineers wasting their training. Those seats could have gone somebody who would do justice to their education. If these guys wanted to become file pushers they could have studied say Political science,History etc etc Govt did not allow doctors to apply for UPSC till late 70s Sheer waste of resources

I think you may be mistaken about role of IAS officers in general. you can say that Doctors joining IAS is a sheer waste of their training and resources that has gone into training them. However, Personally I am of the opinion that Candidates with Engineering background can bring in much value addition to their jobs than candidates with back ground like political science, history etc. Afterall engineers are supposed to be good at conceptualization and execution of projects be it infrastructure/ telecom/ heavy industry etc. An engineer at the helm will definitely improve the matters. In fact most of the PSU banks have Engineers in their Project Appraisal Departments. A history graduate knows what? history thats all; he may not have the necessary mental faculties to grasp the complexities of big projects. where as an engineer can certainly read up his history.

Hello Mr Common sense sir, probably you don't know that the technical part of a Govt Tender/development work can only be dealt by the Eng department. Even if the top boss is a Eng grad, he cannot be the sole deciding authority as he is in IAS. The technical role in state/central govt's are of Chief/Principal/Executive engineers and no intervention from a Eng background IAS officer is legally allowed. They can suggest and probably try indirectly controlling subordinates on these matters but not legally do a technical change. Its very imprt for India to ban all the Eng/Med Grads from entering IAS. YMake mandatory for the IIT BTech to serve IES for 10years.

Be a mature person...Its not Education that give you the rights/sense/authority, you are a or would be a good person. Its your environment you grown up, your intellectuality, your attitude, your sense or humor & surroundings that makes you a good or bad person in life. Education thought you to be a person who think & understand in good way. Topics or Subjects are not for to be a person as Good or Bad. From the same thing some people get good idea/understanding or some get bad idea/understanding. Politics is not only for Political Science or History etc. Anybody can be good politician. Here you are going with your immaturity to show your anger against Science graduates.

Shah Faisal has made history by coming No.1 in UPSC from a state like J & K that too in First Attempt despite all odds.
In fact it would have been more interesting if he was been interviewed.
