I sincerely believe we should attack Europe and make space of living for future generation.....don't tell me that we can dig a under sea tunnel to connect Panta to Venice
Venice is one of the most hyped and extremely expensive destinations in Europe. Hotels rip you off with worst, stinking ones costing at least 80-100 Euros a night. The less said about the prices of Gandola ride, the better. A water taxi ride from airport to your hotel in the city (about 16 kms) costs you Euro 100 upwards. The main city roads are clean and well-maintained, but the moment you step into smaller streets in the backyard of your hotel, it could be dark, unlit and it is not uncommon to spot pet or even human poop (like many Indian towns).
But on the whole, it is a great place to visit - at least once in your lifetime.
