First govt.gave permission to premier indian institute to became deemed to be university to increase quality of education. Now every one knows the result. Now they are giving permission to foreign institute to set up campus here. The problem is not who are setting up campus here, real problem is how to ensure whether they are giving quality education or only making money. and that has to look after by our govt. authorities like UGC,AICTE,MCI and we know how corrupt yhey are.

Atleast we must appreciate that now Supply wont be a problem. Money may be a problem but then we can see lot of lending happening for education at relaxed rates and terms. This opening upto foreign universities shd have happened 50 years back. Look at what we have achieved other than creating some a few IITs and IIM's where the creme da la creme get to study.. most dont have decent schools to study in. These univeristies in turn would compete with other universities of the days of Raj and hopefully our third class universities would try to catch up on host of things that was neglected for sake of pseudo intellectuals like nehru who have stifled everything in this country.

India has enough good quality MBA institutes.

For real development India need quality Science and Technology centers where students do not leave science and technology stream after graduation and continue study and promote science and technology.

Partha,
And which MBA institiute did u graduate from?

Next time u r out in real world just take a look around, Colleges and Universities catering to Science and Technology outnumber MBA institutes.

So next time you come here for comment, make sure you do your homework... probably your science and technology streams must start assigning homework for students.

this will only make education more expensive for the indians. we will only find rich and foreign nationals in these institutes. They have opened such new avenue's for the corrupted politicians and people who use education as business to make more and more money.

Modernizing Education
by BHARATH BHUSHAN on Jun 01, 2010 11:51 AM

Our India dream from past one decade of modernizing education is putting steps towards its fulfillment. Though I.S.B-Hyderabad is among top 20 schools in globe, graduates from this school never placed for headquarters branch of MNC, i hope this new Institute will be successful in doing so.
IIM is opening a branch in Singapore, instead of concentrating on blizzard ideas, its better we make sure that India can come to par in technical field. We have B - schools in top 100 list, but no IITs are ranked below 100 and graduates from technical field never recruited to R&D center symbolizing the nature of teaching and method of following the subjects.
I hope the idea of foreign universities in India will bridge the gap in technical field.
