I met up with an insurance guy trying to buy a 1.2 Cr. flat in distant Thane. I was surprised to know such property could exist. Surely inflated by builders & agents hand in glove with politicos. And this salaried guy wanting to buy one. Offcourse he had his wife supporting him but still I can't stop wondering as he does not inherit anything. And to my pleasant surprise most of today's generation does not seem to ubderstand that tertiary is support to the core manufacturing activities. Hardly a few know anything about manufacturing, they are under the illusion that IT, insurance & Finance is what runs India.

You must have surely inherited a Chawl in Dadar; that is why you dont know market reality and say words like DISTANT THANE; If you feel you must have a flat at say Sion, Bandra etc, forget about builders, try purchasing 1 BHK flat from existing owners. You will be in for a shock
I met a young lad who works as marketing mang for one of daily newspaper publication. He has passed MH CET for engineering last year and got admission but could not get admission because of he cannot afford engineering fees. For the full last year he worked and saved money for doing engineering. This year also he passed the CET and hope will get admission.
Why would a guy not focus fully on his studies and want to earn while he is studying. This article has skipped if this person skipped years of his studies, or why his marwari family did not want to support his studies.
Secondly, this story is no way near the reflection of the current India. In fact, call centers are NOT the reflection of current india. This was a disappointment, looking forward to a better one in this series.

I think it makes sense that people want to earn when they go to school. It definitely adds a bounty of responsibility to the individual's actions and makes him think how he wants to spend his money..Definitely part-time work will not stop anyone getting into Berkeley, MIT or start his own paint shop.

Good to see that at least one friend of Zore and that marwari Akash is literate to be in this blog and support this duo for their nonsense.
What to tell you about this rediff ? They are loosing the glory which rediff had before... all non metric people are being appointed to write the articles and they write as per their calibre. Indian youths are reaching all the milestones and rediff is still in call centre jobs.... Rediff, if you want we people to discuss in this platform... bring an article which can give us inspiration for debates... and not such useless article as this zore has written.

That is what I am emphasising Sanjay... The literate, educated and who have sense should participate in this blog. Eating veg or non veg should not be barcade.. but one should have commonsense perhaps this concludes that you are not fit in this blog...

Working with TOP MNC does not mean that we are having high caliber in s/w developement. Have you ever did the analysis that how many s/w engineers are satisfied with their work.
