The article is a useful one.
But can the expert readers throw some light on the following:

1. I want to do MBA without leaving my job. I have heard we have an option e-mba. What is it?
2. Does the online certifications hold some credit?
3. What certifications a software personnel (development programming ) should go for for enhancing his future prospects?

You can go for the E-MBA being offered by IIPS. It's one year degree but with flexible timings for classes as per convenience of the individual or group.

Dipak,

Institutes like NIIT have tid up with IGNOU to offer Management programmes.if your doing an emba choose only online courses from XLRI,IIM calcutta etc offered by NIIT Imperia.your doing these courses will cost u a fortune.are you really keen on moving into management positions is something to think about.online certifications help you to boost your CV as well as apply to management positions in future.software professionals should go in for a 1 yr course to find out their interests in sofware ie dotnet,J2EE etc and then specialise in a particular software.this helps him to get a general overview of programming and also ace interview questions pertaining to programming.
