And why don't their hubbies take responsibility for what they eat and take more initiative to cook themselves if need be? No point blaming women.

Each person is expected to know their own bodies and eat according to their needs.

That apart, your points make valid sense.

Though, as usual, no one talks with any seriousness about incorporating exercise into their daily routine. This doesn't target you as such. :)

:) Sometimes wisdom of the ages needs to be repeated and re-packaged to suit present day consumption styles.

If some elder said this, you would've probably ignored it. :))

It is very difficult to follow much of this advice due to the constant marketing and hype surrounding things, even food these days.

An earlier study showed that dogs were grossly underweight, as a result of people eating their biscuits. This is an attempt to get people to feed their dogs properly.

Every Pregnant women should eat healthy food and do atleast basic exercises. Its not Indian or Western food that really matters. I am abroad and I feel that every food suits the people in the country they live. So instead of commenting on food, lets more concentrate on healthy food(though Indian) and every women while pregnant do exercise, without just blindly following what doctor says,"BED REST" I dont think it applies to all would be mothers.
