Market offers of hundreds of models but I recommend buy only of that company which has a local service centre.My several thousand worth branded camera has become almost uselss within a year when it refused to recognize, read or record add-on memory cards and the asme could not be set right in my town.It remains crippled memory capacitywise limited to the in-built memory fo 32 pics only.So don't be carried away by nice looking and well advertised brands.These companies keep changing the model every 2 or 3 years and you don't get spares.Of what use sophisticated featues if you can't use them for a reasonable period?
I appreciate the publishing of such less intense, different and useful articles,instead of the usual heavy duty stuff which have become kind of boring actually.
I am thinking of buying a camcorder, so will this website be kind enough to publish a similar kind of article on camcorders:-)
