The entrance examinations of ComedK is a very transparent exam where carbon copy of OMR answer sheet is given to every candidate and answer key is put on internet within 24 hrs, you can also challenge any wrong answers and these are then finalised. This leaves no scope for wrongdoing, or atleast eliminates it very substantially. But this system is not followed in exams where the authorities don't want to make the xam transparent, some times even pencil is used for marking the OMR answer sheets making later modification of OMR answer sheet even easier.
Don't be under any misconception that selection in govt colleges is made on merit basis, there is so much money involved now that open advertisements appear in newspapers inviting students for admissions to govt colleges -INCLUDING AIIMS - where just recently the admission racket has been exposed which is going on since ages, same goes for entrance exams to other Delhi and other state medical colleges where you can buy a seat for 20 to 35 lakhs, your OMR answer sheet is left blank at the test centre and filled in later from the answer key and you get predetermined marks putting you amongst the top rankers - mostly these are children of beaurocrates, doctors, politicians and just plain money bags who's children can not get through even the prelims of a proper exam without hankypanky. The attendance of students in Maulana Azad Medical College has been found to be between 20 to 40% !!!!!!1 and they were still being allowed to appear in exams against the rules, the High Court on its own has asked the college to explain this nonsense since you cant do MMBS and become a doctor sitting at home!!! This is just the result of all these backdoor entries being made in all these colleges with active connivance of Coaching Institutes, Admission Agents and University & College Officials and clerks who are all making huge money out of all this. So its all humbug going on and plenty of it since a long time - who will expose this racket, everybody knows about it but they all try
pvt colleges lik cmc/manipal shouldnt be in the list..and why is LHMC in the list?? it has a poor infrastructure.is it bcoz its in delhi..and what abt top rung referral institutes like SMS Jaipur, IMS BHU,Nizams inst,KGMC etc etc..

Your decision should not be based on whether is government or private. For your information Harvard is a private university.
There are no enough docs in India. There should be a medical college in every municipality in India, churning out trained docs like Engineers and Lawyers. I have to spend hours waiting meet a doc? Why like the rest of the service providers doctors should be waiting for the patients. What is the need to artificially curb the number of seats in Medical colleges? Lack of quality can easily be controlled by tighter training/passing grade systems.

Why like the rest of the service providers doctors are not waiting for the patients. Creating enough doctors will increase the entrepreneurship in the healthcare sector resulting in betterment for the society. In any case I think the present system of patients with ailments, sickness and illness waiting!!!!!! for the doc to give his great appointment SHOULD CHANGE. A hospital should be like a 24X7 restaurant - I should just walk and take the help like ordering a coffee in a restaurant. Better still if I across the hospital should approaching me like a car sales rep offering their service. What is the need to artificially curb the number of seats in Medical colleges? Lack of quality can easily be controlled by tighter training/passing grade systems.
Some messages about donations and reservations and doctors passing out under this scheme are bad. We have to really think why we have a 'donation' system in place. Obviously there are not enough medical colleges to cater for huge population like we have in India. So an aspirant has to get his seat through donation. End of the day, he has to have the minimum mark to get an admission even if it is through donation.

wrong. Do you ever crib about lack of quality in any other service in India - be in Construction, Travel, Food, Consumer, Legal whatever industry? Each one of them is potentially catestrophically risky as Healthcare is. So don't fall to this wrong argument to curb the number of Docs in India. It's a cartel run by Docs association. They will be up in arms if govt opens an additional college. WHY? It's all about keeping the doc supply in short so that they remain creamy layer of the society - this is at the cost of poor peoples' welfare.
I wonder when there is no uniformity with regards to the admission process, the curriculum of courses like m.b.b.s., b.d.s., the basic infrastructure in govt.and private colleges, and finally the governing bodies like M.C.I. AND D.C.I.,who are the most corrupt organisations now. THESE were initially set up to monitor the quality of medical education and patient health care services in our country!! with this kind of scenario i doubt the ranking is justified? Also, the students, teachers, and finally the patients are the worst sufferers.... A recent survey done by W.H.O. lists india at a rank above 100 in terms of quality of health care out of 150 countries surveyed, we are much behind countries like thailand and srilanka.. I would also like to add that the life of a medical student is far worse than his other counterparts in the other technical courses in our nation... it is high time for us to set in motion a revolution to fix this problem which is a like a time-bomb waiting to explode any time..
It is the Best Medical Collage in MP, despite of the fact that Govt of MP through its Politicriminals & Brat Burocrats has no thought/perception for further development.

There are some who have become doctors after giving capitation fees in the range of 5 lakhs to 50 lakhs. 5 lakhs to 15 lakhs for BDA and upto 50 lakhs for MBBS. In such a senario, its not bad to become doctor under quota basis.

Its not true. Quality of students of donation colleges are equally good & even better some time. The same is due to 50-60% quota for sc & back-ward class. There are huge talent in India .more over it is matter how u perform in professional life or how u groom your self.
