India?? iPad???
by Rajesh kumar on Jan 29, 2010 09:45 PM  | Hide replies

India can never think of any improvements in 3G technology or broadband in near future. All internet bandwidth sucks.... and more than 1 mbps for domestic usage that is ridiculous... Two things are important for fast growth in economy recently... one is technology in internet which requires more band width and second is good roads or well connected transport which we have but it is not fast.... there is long way to go for us.

yeah, even the incumbent, bsnl is lazy and not competitive. bsnl should ideally price 2-5mbps under 1000 rupees. its airtel however that's leading the race, and others following.

Unless you are watching a movie or a game in your classroom (like the hidden transistors in your school bag for Cricket in the 1970s), this device is a waste of time.
Imagine telling in India that you have a iPa_d.
People will reconfirm that you are breaking wind.

There are many rich fools in our country show off a lot. IPad will be a hit among those people. This generation of IPAD will not be a hit as it lacks lot of basic features which is even available in most of the cheap netbooks. I believe it can take away market share from most of E-Readers markets, but not from any of the existing Netbooks. The second generation IPAD may be a big thing if it incorporates all the missing features from the current one.

I love this ipad
by Calspadeaspade on Jan 29, 2010 08:24 PM

Normally I have no use fore iphone or blackberry since I am a retired, only interested in cooking and reading with some golf thrown in during week ends. I dont like a gadget which is too small for me to type or read. But Ipad is cool. I really like the idea of reading my novels after downloading. I like the size which is compact and not too small.

He says, if he gets iPad too close to his face his eyes will strain and if he keeps it on his lap to read, then his back will hurt!!

How does he read a book these days?? or does he read at all.

Looks like he just hates Apple. Apple makes good products compared to anyone else albeit expensive. Period. That's why they are popular.

They make good products, but they are very expensive for the Indian market. MOreover Indian govt considers apple products to eb aluxury and taxes them greatly. Apple is alo not v interested in selling in India since they think products that are used in third world countries are not "cool" and will harm their elite image.
