K.V.KAMAT'S NEW CHALLENGE.
by bhattathiry mp on Apr 30, 2011 11:02 PM

K.V.KAMAT canmotivate all the employees by tapping into their pride. Get them involved in planning on what needs to be done. Employees support what they help build. Just doing tasks will mean very little to them. But if they are connected to the big picture and understand its importance, their work now has purpose. Including them in appropriate decision-making provides a high level of ownership. Seeing how their work impacts the overall success of the company fuels their internal motivation to do their best. Treat them as customer for your business. Just as you want your customers to buy your products, you want your employees to buy into your instructions and performance expectations. Just like your customers, your employees are motivated by need satisfaction and will respond to your demonstration of respect, appreciation, compliments and interest in them. It\\\'s not just money that motivates. We all work smarter and harder when we are appreciated.

If he is such a great inspiring leader....
by Globalcrusador on Jan 31, 2010 05:01 PM  | Hide replies

then why is ICICI Bank, the most hated Bank in India, with a list of aggrieved customers whose list can run from Kashmir to Kanyakumari ? Somewhere along the line, the basic values of mutual trust, fair dealing and respect for the customer died an early death while he was building the enterprise. It was like saying "the operation was successful but the patient died !"

I would any day prefer to deal with a bank even if it is one-tenth the size of ICICI that is honest to the core, has a highly professional cus- tomer grievance redressal mechanism, has a good PR interface and does not dole out dud credit cards which their own ATMs do not accept.
A Bank which does not cheat its customers thro' its fraudulent credit card statements. The wishlist is very small indeed and are a basic expectation from any account holder.

He can teach india from the mistake he made with ICICI
by bihari babu on Jan 27, 2010 08:39 AM

He did made banking experience easy for many indians. Though he lacked many discipline and techno other bank have. Still this man should be admired to make genuin effort to make life of indian little bit easy. Anyway to teach managment funda is one thing and to be a good manager is other. Kamat can be a good teacher and inspire youth on what he achieved and what mistakes he made. If he honestly want to help indians. We need lots of teacher, leaders who can teach us some business lessons. How to creat jobs, expand you shop, offices. Thats are key to our society. Our focus should not go on poltics, cricket, relegion. They are waste of time right now. Total focus on growth since we are in economic war with our rival china. We cant afford to be lezy for atleast 20 years. Keep up the good work mr. Kamat.
