Never ask Salary of a man and age of a woman.
by srinivasan on Jan 17, 2010 03:29 PM

In Tamil, there is a age old adage, that you should ask what is the salary to a man and age of a woman. Hope, people follow this saying in the work place as well.

A job is just like that. U nvr know whn u r in an 'emergency' situation. U hv to be open for such situations, the more u r eager to accept, lesser will be chances of repetition.

Advantage of being from Bihar
by Vijay Jha on Jan 09, 2010 11:07 PM  | Hide replies

Because I am from Bihar, I never face this problem.

Such questions are directed at people who look like they can be embarrassed.

That is an advantage of being from Bihar. People don't generally go there with me.

Whenever I mention my name the first thing that comes to people's mind is UP and Bihari brothers sitting by the railway tracks or public roads trying to make railway or municipal land more fertile every morning.

The most personal question I have been asked is where I am originally from. Once I mention Bihar, they subtly grimace and change the topic.

And all you people think it is only bad to be from Bihar.

just straightaway say, I am not interested to discuss my personal life publicly, just do it, even if it hurts somebody let it be, the msg. will be reached, there are people who acts smart by embarrasing others in public gathering or office space, a little bit of rude reply corrects them

I say I do not want to talk about it. If the other person insists, I say it is none of his or her business.
