I think the glamour element is the sole reason why rediff is having this article running for 5 days now.
Sample this: "Not having worked bottom-up doesn't bother this 27-year-old at all. She says it is a practice that is followed in 'industries where there are a lot of blue-collared labourers to be appeased when the owner's child is introduced to the business'.In a software firm, people as young as 25 are in responsible positions and most understand that age does not really matter much,"
For one. I know that even in big family-owned businesses (like Ford) the juniors have to work their way up. It is not appeasement always. It is learning the business before being able to handle it.
Secondly, the young people in software firms who are in responsible positions would have reached there by virtue of talent and hard-work, not always by virtue of the dad being the boss.
Arrogance written all over. She just wants some limelight and rediff may have been paid I think.
