Slowly becoming Land of Beggars
by iota on Feb 28, 2010 06:52 PM  | Hide replies

Government steals money from Tax Payers.

And then gives them Tax Exemptions (like a Favor!), bribes farmers with loan waivers, bribes non-tax payers with Quota.

Plain 20% TAX FOR ALL.
NO EXEMPTIONS.
No Middle Men like CAs/Tax Consultants/TaxSaving schemes.

Result: Tax Collections will DOUBLE.

There is a condition that you cannot take another house on rent within 50 kms of your own house. If you have a house in Delhi and you work in Delhi, if you take another house on rent, you cannot show your own flat as self occupied. However if you have flat in Delhi and take another one on rent in Bangalore, you can claim both HRA and interest income. Delhi flat in this case will be deemed to be self occupied as you were required to move to another city because of your work.

Government steals from Tax Paying Citizens, and bribes its Vote Banks.

THATS WHAT IT IS.

What do you get in return for paying taxes?
Potholed roads.
Filthy water.
No electricity.
Reservations and Quotas?
Scams and Arrogant Police.

Can't complain being part of the system. The question is. What are you doing about it? Don't expect anything to change as long as you keep bribing to get things done at govt offices.

a) People with income less than 3 lakh are the hardest hit without tax relief, absence of other earning capital, and increasing prices.
b) Why burden us with deficit with increasing budget when last years budgets were unspent by big margins.
c) Increase in social sector budgets makes no sense to common men as utilization are low and what ever happens, a good part of that are illegally siphoned up by politicians and bureaucrats.
d) why increase defence budget for buying flying coffins (scrap MIGs)and deep mines (aircraft carrier)at unimaginable prices and fill your pockets through middle man.

I know, I am to blame myself for I have voted you to power.

With Dry Eye
Common men of India

TAX EXEMPTIONS

Now this is not healthy. Why can't we restrict to one house for one family principle?OK, one in your own town and one in the city where you work. But are you not encouraging unhealthy imbalance in this scenario?First of all, a place for rent is available means some one already built it and not staying there. Now you encourage double houses , even triple.Just for the tax exemptions!Come on rediff! Raise the bar.Instead of educating people this way, you can encourage them to wealth creation, value creation.
What if the FM goes for a stimulus exit for the construction industry? Will you help the customer?
People are already playing mischief by providing false rentals, not filing returns, if so, filing false returns, and how many times all these returns were checked? DO not make other lives complicated.
