Tax benefits
by sachin thyagathur on Feb 19, 2010 02:35 PM

It is meaningless to say that fees paid for dependent children are exempted up to Rs 1 Lakh. What is missing is this is clubbed with other savings and in effect the benefit to tax payer is nil. In any case there will be enough of savings and the benefit due to Children fee , principle repayment of house loan...etc exemption from income are really not helping the tax payer. IT department is trying to do something which is not really helping the mass tax payers.

IT EXEMPTION
by Ghanshyam sengar on Feb 19, 2010 02:14 PM

Since all the schools college deemed universities are the source of making money for indian politicians and their dependents, Govt of India has exempted the money spent on education in order to benifit the politicians . The effort is on to provide money to these high cost educational institutions from Govt of india funds in the name of free education to children.
If govt is really interested in free education to indian boysgirls they should have spent money on raising the standard of govt schools or opened more govt shools but politicans want to siphon away money from coffers of central govt in the name of free education so free education bill.
