We indians have got used to adopting international culture and spoiling our own. Why is there any need to spend huge amount of money for expressing love to somebody?? Its a sheer waste of money and unfortunately our young girls and boys are falling prey to it. So to preserve our culture such days should be banned. Love can also be expressed by giving a simple rose flower.

The main culprits are corporates... they are hell bent on promoting each and every festival... so that they can sell their products.. and in turn Indians get carried away.. 10 yrs back valentines day was just another day... today everyones trying to buy chocolates, greeting cards, dining out -- to diamond ring... so whos benefitting.. MNCs...

To add its not just Valentines day.. its everywhere... once upon a time.. during Diwali people would prepare sweets at home... today... sugar and other comodities are so expensive... that people prefer buying cadbury chocolate gift hamper, haldirams sweets etc... rather than making things at home...
