Is this legal?
by Sandeep Menon on Feb 06, 2010 05:36 AM

Considering that they used section 144 (whatever that is), I assume this is legal. So, on Valentines day, 5 or more friends can't meet at a public place? Hmm... interesting. Was such an order passed immediately after 26/11 to ensure there wouldn't be further co-ordinated attacks on other cities/locations? Probably not - after all, that's just a matter of a few lives - this after all - is POLITICAL.

Buddy, we have seen couples cosy upto each other in parks and other public places on days other vday. So would u support that? Is that in our culture then? The point is we can't impose our version of what culture is on others just because it is western and we don't like it!

Just because it is western you dont like it? Thanks for being patriotic, but it would be nice if you stop using your MNC's product colgate, palmolive, lee, sony, Hyundai and start using Gokul santol, lifebuoy, Vicco vajrathanthi etc.

In our culture Gfs etc are not allowed. Traditionally boy meets girl after marriage only. So stop meeting or loving her till marriage

I hope all the southern states police are proactively ready....
by Globalcrusador on Feb 05, 2010 08:29 PM  | Hide replies

I hope the police in all southern/western states is ready this time to prevent any street violence from cranky leaders. The last time, the police in Mangalore was caught napping when the young ladies were physically assaulted. It should not repeat this time and the police needs to send out a stern warning to potential trouble makers.

Those who want to show affection for their partners should go to clubs, hotels, bars etc..Why the hell they have to kiss in public? This is all non-sense.

You're absolutely right. Police are meant for maintaining law and order but instead they bend towards the politicians.

Why bother? As long he is not kissing your wife...leave them alone. Do you go after people urinating and defacating in public. You turn a blind eye. Just do the same if some one is kissing in public. Don't make an issue out of nothing.
