Apple products are mostly hype...In India especially, their products have not fared well... They feature high on 'cool' index rather than on features...iphone with such a high price does not have message forward and bluetooth like features which are now available in sub 5k phones these days...For that price, there are plenty of better options available from Nokia, Samsung, LG, Sony and Blackberry.
iPad too, suffers from same syndrome....a lot less features...I don't understand why people cant hold a book instead of iPad...because, iPad, without a camera, multitasking capability, physical keyboard and USB slot is just an ebook reader and handheld gaming device...true i can watch images and videos, but I don't wish to pay such high price for that...I would any day prefer a netbook for doing all the things I can do with a iPad...
on top of that, so called marketing strategy of the iTunes software, file format...and their iTunes store...
At max, I could ask myself to buy an iPod, just for the sheer quality of sound and earphones...Rest all Apple products are a big no for me... I can spend my hard earned money on better products...I just don't want to get into the 'cool' brigade for the heck of it..

Moreover, tablet pc is not a new concept. this concept already fails.
Remember, tablet pc or netbooks can't fail Notebook. Notebooks are best, with the time they are getting best. It has keyboard, whereas, in ipad it is very difficult to type and hold.
In opinion, tablet pc and ipad are fail concept it will not survive long.

Apple doesnt hire indian techies unlike other firms..they even always treated india as third class nation..and never used to introduce new products in india..

That is not true. Apple has many Indians working for them. I know at least 10 of my close friends working there.
About releasing a product in India, there is a potential problem. Apple sells there products at a premium everywhere in the world, (it is said for computer above 1000$ apple has a 98% market share) and India is a very price sensitive market.
The example is a macBook. I rarely see it here and of the ones I do most have been brought in US. Even after that if you see the iPhone was released in India before Japan and some South Africa.

This is true. Apple opened a development center in Bangalore few years back & publicly closed it saying Indian techies are not good enough. They played to their market, which is US, but they had no business insulting us. Any Indians working in US are working as Americans.
