Emotions are different for different people. For some love is idiotic, for some marriage is and for some breakup is! Let us allow others have own emotions and not brush it aside as idiotic. Pain is felt not explained. Some have pain for money some have pain for people.

Well said Shyam. Only people who are into friendship or any close rel'ship without vested interests would know this. Also, friendship is one relationship which one chooses to be in, unlike relatives (by birth or marriage etc.). Hence, break-up with a long-time friend CAN BE as painful as a divorce. Anyway, only the wearer knows where the shoe pinches.

Do not agree, till identified type of friendship and age at which broken. Priority in life change with the age, circumstances and place, no one in world is indispensable, temporary effect is always there, but if it remains permanant, mental treatment is required.
