If go through a consultant close to HR..your selection get easy!
by rinky khanna on Dec 29, 2010 02:50 PM  | Hide replies

it my personal experience. I had tried several times in a NOIDA based company through employee referal and company website site, but never got a call. I got selected through a particular consultant. Who claims that 50% of the staff is through him only.Something fishy between HR and Job Consultant.

Writter seems HR or biased towards company
by avinash singh on Dec 28, 2010 10:03 PM

It’s not like, if candidate has eligibility then certainly he/she needs to ask, company use to have range for any position and always they try to fix and settle down on lowest as HR has to show their performance, Now its depend upon candidate to ask depending upon his/her eligibility irrespective of others. if company is not providing then fine...he/she will get in other company. but compromising a lot toward candidate side is not good.

Note:- Author of such article, pls don’t write such bias suggestion. Company only earns due to employee and so employee needs to get good chunk of the profit.

apply only to jobs where you actually have a chance of doing well
by Devdutt Nayak on Dec 28, 2010 08:55 PM

Too many people apply to all jobs in a particular category.

Be good at a few things. Apply at companies where those skills are used.

Or at least dont apply where those skills are absent or not important.

Certificate and no-of-years based applications are the main reason they have so many people to filter out making everyone's good chances poorer.

First Question
by Samsung on Dec 28, 2010 04:36 PM

The first question is "Tell us about you". Candidate should be able to explain this first. this is more apt in case of entry and junior level positions. Guys what will be your resonse to this quesion ?
