Netbooks are smaller, cheaper and sleeker than laptops. One should definitely buy them. the price range of these are 10K to 15K. we can get a good ram and hd in it. Intel Atom processor makes the battery backup around 7 to 8 hours, bright screen and stylish looks. 1 for netbooks!
The hp mini 110-3730 tu is best in this price range. available at 15k, it sports a dual core intel atom processor, with 2 gb ddr3 ram (exp. upto 4gb) and 320 gb hdd. now beat this guys!
I'm a college student & have been using netbooks for a while now. I'd started with one on an experimental basis & pretty soon learnt that they were, in no way, made to compete with laptops & laptops were definitely not a substitute to netbooks. Netbooks are made with a completely different purpose in mind & for a completely different market. This is a good list of netbooks you've made here. I couldn't help but notice that all the ones listed here are powered by the Intel Atom processor..which is what I've been using all along..& have been completely satisfied with. Thanks for the list. 1. boot at the command prompt and then format the desired drive 2. Use a bootable windows/linux USB or CD (needs an external cd/DVD drive)and follow the instructions on screen till you get to the partition management utility. Hope this helps!
All Netbooks featured here has comes with Windows (XP or 7), which adds to the price. What about netbooks with linux, they will cost about 2-3k less, with same configuration. I got a Simoco netbook for 12000, 1.66 GHz Atom, 1 GB RAM, 250 GB HDD. (runs Windows 7 Ultimate pretty well (pirated!)).

Nokia may launch its 3g netbook which is already launched outside India.
Netbooks offer so much with a prise between Rs17000 to 22000 then why the mobiles are costing more than 25000 with less size, less memory. Mobile should replace netbook with low cost.
