While appreciate the efoorts and commitment gentlemen have for his spouse, its not conviencing that study at IIM-A can do this. I agree with many viewers that this is because of his family values and just because he did from IIMA.Leaving and Getting back decision may have been due to IIMA, but not otherwise.

its really inspiring stroy, and i would like to appreciate for his determination and dedication for his spouse. incredible job. otherwise in todays scenario when we are lacking our values , this is a great example of our values and true love, which has lost in this era. i hope every should think abt it and follow this story and make this world so pure and hapy.
i dont know the role of IIM degree but one thing z sure he got his job because of it or its brand value.

Bullshit..this cld have been a news if the guy idnt have any fancy degree and threw his really hard to find job with no security that a fancy degree offers to take care of his wife, then that would have been a great thing. And there are hundreds out there who do this. Here is a case where a guy with a good degree and exp, knowing very well that he would get another job anytime, quits to take care of his wife…and this they boot as a great thing..!! Rediff, if you want to promote some stupid books, do it openly..not this way. If I haven’t read this, may be I cold have at least thought buying the book..now, after reading this hyped up emotional essay, buying this book is an absolute no for me!!!

While I admire the young man's commitment to his spouse and applaud him for doing the right thing, I wonder if the two years of study at an IIMA has much to do with shaping his response in a very difficult personal situation.

The responses to such very complex situations are based on values that an individual has imbibed from his family and the environment since his childhood and formative years well before he enters an IIM. If IIMs actually shaped or altered a students values for the better, the society will be a better place. I do not see much evidence of individula transformation yet.

I am an ancient IIM graduate myself. I have survived Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia with Chemo, total body raditaion and a Bone marrow transplant. While I lay in bed in the cancer hospital, I had a lot of time to dwell on my life thus far and the influences that were helping me cope with the tough treatment and the possibility of not walking out alive; the thoughts and memories were about my school teachers and classmates I had, my family and friends. My life at IIM did not feature much in my thoughts. I credit IIM education with the moderate success I have achieved professionally.
