in the media obessive contemprory times we are in, the idea is that the "slimmer you are the healthier you are". Thats' not true at all. If you see the genetic structure, South Indian women have more fat on the hips and thighs and well endowed upper parts. North Indians tend to be slimmer in these areas. Also the new trend is that new borns are not breat feeded any more by "cosmpolitan" women. Thats' another problem to increase body fat.

Cosmo ladies dont breatfeed their kids because there is nothing left after feeding their husbands. :-)
The whole thing looks simple. The most difficult part is to control the craving of the tongue; that too at the time others are eating and tempting you to eat.
The above needs a high degree of sacrifice, control and discipline. If any one has the above qualities consistently, then only this will be successful.

S - try my method. When you have the craving drink 2 glasses of hot water - you will have a sort of burning feeling in the stomach but within 2 minutes your tongue loses the craving. I lost 6 kilos in the last 2 months and around 2 inches in the waist. I can now wear my 2008 trousers. Honestly, the major change I did in my food intake is that I changed to a bowl of muselli / cornflakes / fruits for break fast and Oats with buttermilk in the night. Lunch I did not change at all. I wanted to go slow as per the advice of my good friend. This one is much easier. You can also go slow in weight reduction. Earlier when I tried crash dieting, there was a good result but not sustained. My next step is to stop sweets and sugar from yesterday. You also can do it. All the best

it is easy for a drunkard to lose weight. one should not eat whole day before drinking and also not to eat during and after drinking

Takes a lot of determination to lose weight.Its not that easy my friend.People are busy these days and sit a lot of time and hence are prone to diabetes.
In order to not gain weight,we need to eat limited,well balanced food,include vegetables in our diet and eat more veggies than fruits.
Fiber is important to us and hence veggies are very important.drinking ebough water is important.
Cut down on fatty things like fried stuff,pizza,cakes,bakery stuff,sweets etc.
drink 1% milk.
use honey instead of sugar.
Walk for 15 minutes as soon as you eat because sugars will release into body after you eat.So if we walk,we can burn some calories.
Most of all have enough rest.
If you are okay weight then following a good food habits as mentioned above are enough to not let weight gain.
If you are already overweight follow good food habits as above and excercise regularly and lose weight.
