How are you cooling it? Are you using Thermoelectric modules? Or is it PCM? Both these concepts have been proven before in an helmet. So yours must be something else. What may it be?
he should study the effects of the idea before making a product: 1.Cooling the head will cause a SHOCK in normal humans and Rhinitis in Allergic humans and will be fatal on the raods. 2. Imagine in summer one is sticking ones head in a fridge and the body outside. 3.Which part of our body needs cooling?? is it the head and or the upper thoracic region?it is both or the whole body. 4.He does not explain the efficiency also as the head accounts for only 25% of the heat and if one is riding on a raod in summer at 40-45C the body is absorbing 75% heat and his helmet cooling the 25% part does it make any sense in the efficiency??? 5.helmets comes with an insulation and protects the temperature in normal conditions inside. 6.And lastly One should ask HOW MUCH AIR IS INSIDE AN HELMET??? funny but not less that in a normal tea Cup and he is colling that.
1) You are only cooling the head... this causes a temp difference between the body and the brain and this is the basic reason for a thermal shock that causes latency in judgements and hence severe road accidents.
2) You would be better off using a cooling body suit instead but thats already been invented.
3) the lining of most helmets available today is a kind of insulator (foam), if a person is riding the bike for 1 hour... doesnt make any diff.
4) The reason why most people donot wear a helmet is because they donot buy the right one... they go for the cheapest one that somehoe fits their head... they should test and buy the best helmet ... that would never feel claustrophobic... take the example of the studds helmet, available for just about Rs 1000, it opens up from the front....
- why not buy a car instead? - health concerns and side effects - weight and comfortability - stupid idea actually. I agree you have talent, why not utilize on something else, practical and innovative intead?

You are correct, but there are places where a motorbike is a boon fro its slim design. It will go to places where car is restricted such as very narrow lanes. But in the city and towns i would prefer a car it is much safer.

affordability will be key in his market. if it comes 3-4000 rupees people may go for it. But above that it is unlikely to generate interest.
Cars are too costly, compared to bikes decent of whose come in 50-60K, where as cars come for minimu 2.5 lakhs or 1.2 lakhs for nano.
practicality is a thing when the actual helmet is out before that it may not be ideal to comment. He will have to work on the health effects since keeping head cool and body warm will certainly give some disease.
There are thousands of such patents, which combine common sense principles and practices and 90% of them rot in the shelves of the patent office. Making a working device and market it requires much more effort. The original patent holder cannot raise any objection as the principles are self evident as he will have difficulty in proving the merit of his product. The young engineer deserves credit for making a working product and users can decide its worth.
I once designed a cooler for the truck driver's seat (aptly named - bum cooler); it ended as a successful prototype only.

hahahaha... nice one dude.. bum cooler :D sorry that it didn't catch up, but you can still market it if you can fit it in undies somehow, and call it balls cooler instead.. I am serious...

everyone would prefer cool balls, and if balls are kept cooler, that increases once stamina ;) also. so I think that can even be marketed on medical grounds..

Cooling at both ends eh? If it can come bundled with the airconditioned helmet, it will be a steal!! :))
come on people... all the ones who are not giving this guy his due credit dont understand one thing...
for anything there are two steps... 1. philosophy 2. science 3. technology
in philosophy stage some idea is conceived in mind. in science stage that idea is made possible. in technology stage the idea is made feasible for common man to use.
so may be this is a not a new invention, but the mere fact that this guy is trying to make if feasible and available, doesn't make him any lesser. And in the west it might not have succeeded because western countries mostly are cold already plus number of bikers is less because almost everybody have a car. but in tropical countries like India, where most of the population depends on two wheelers, this idea has a lot of potential...
