I'm confused???

While I appreciate their effort to reduce carbon footprint.....

Dont tell me that their Around the world trip on so many means of transportation hasnt left any carbon footprint.

I personally feel it was a trip around the world without a flight and that's about it....which is still fine if they do it. But masking it as a CARBON FREE COW CRAP is not needed

Coz if they were really concerned about the carbon footprint.... go and search for NO IMPACT MAN....who did not use anything (cars, buses, tv, radio, plastic, lifts, INORGANIC food and reduced the usage of electricity) EXCEPT for Bicycle for 1 year.

Do that instead!!!

Bottom line: My company will not pay me for 1 yr without work. If they did I would have done it too.

And yeah, 2 flight tickets to India = 2 cars worth of pollution is complete cow crap again

You are plain simple jealous man.

I can bet my life, that even if your company would have given u a paid leave u would not have that kind of ebergy to travel for a year.

Moreover, these people did not get paid for their 1 year travel, they chose it themselves.

try to appreciate people's efforts and not jump the gun to criticize every step people take.

Sit back and learn to appreciate rather than being cynical.

You need time

If you have time to cross the oceans by ship, that's great. I don't think my client will let me have that luxury even if it costs less.
