The most beauful place for worship
by correct on Aug 26, 2010 04:11 PM  | Hide replies

The most beautiful place for worship is where your faith takes you if it takes you to a jungle that is the beautiful place if it takes to grave yard then that is the beautiful place. You only go to temple to pray not worship.

The Mind is the True temple where God manifests in the form of thoughts. Bricks and mortars don't make temples, its the mind of the individual that brings him closer to God. Its like a good school is not because of its beautiful buildings and well stocked library, the true school is again your mind. You have to train your mind to be disciplined to absorb knowledge and impart them for a good cause, the same is true if you wish to bring your soul and spirit closer to the vast spiritual ocean of the God, the Great Almighty Creator who sustain life and the whole Universe.

so a temple is a "place of praying"? or a "place of worship"? reading between lines is bad but you now try to read between letters too!

PEOPLE OF INDIA WORSHIP GOOD AS GOD
by Krishna Akula on Aug 26, 2010 04:08 PM

Sai Baba was a muslim , he had given only good to the people without any parity of religion. He preached good so he was and is treated as god, and many more examples. I have seen many muslims preach hindu gods and good sadhu's.That is indeed INDIA.

All are equal!!!!
by manjunath nagappa on Aug 26, 2010 04:07 PM

If you want to judge by architechture or structure of temples or place worship you might rank them. But as a piligrimage or religious places, all are equal. I have visited most of hindu temples from Ma Vaisno Devi to Kanya kumari, each place has similar vibes. So you cannot say which one good or bad piligrimage site.

Anything that is Good and which promotes harmony, peace , prosperity and progress of the human race and all that walks, flies, swims and reproduce is manifestation of God. In true sense God is the sum total of all Energy that created and sustains life on Earth and that of the whole cosmic world , the Universe we reside in.

why shiva
by sunny India on Aug 26, 2010 03:52 PM  | Hide replies

Why shiva has no north-south divide. Rama (Vishnus avatar) is not respected in TN. But shiva & his family is worshiped from J&K to Kerala.

Ravana was a Brahmin King of Dravidian race (predominant in the South India) whereas Shri Ram was non-Brahmin Kshatriya of Aryan race. Ravana although being bestowed great boons from Lord Shiva through penance and meditation, misused them as a King that was considered evil in deeds. Ram by vanquishing the evil spirit residing in Ravana (Hitler of those days)succeeded in liberating the people both in South India and North India from misrule and replaced them with Ram Rajya, the most ideal one as for administration was concerned. Ram not only established himself as Lord of India but there are archeological findings that his influence was as far as present day Far East and Middle East too.including Egypt .

So none of you have ever ramayana. Just barking here for the sake of doing it. Read the epic word by word from start till end and you will understand what it is about. Dont just bark 'cos it has 1 reference about ur religion and a god belonging to it.
