The author didn't say Tech Guru, he said Tech Enthusiast. And, the vast majority of PC users do not know how to set up dual booting.

My gripe is in asking the novice user to use vi. If anyone tries that (assuming it is the first time they are dealing with the vi editor), he (or she) will end up never using Linux or dual booting mechanisms again. He will also have to schedule visits to the psychiatrist for the emotional trauma endured, for the next 20 years.

as pointed out by others... dual booting is an old trick.... i have been doing it for over 8 years....
secondly this guy installed Windows 2008 Server on his PC. how dumb is that... server edition is meant for servers only .. not PCs ... how can he call himself tech enthusiast.. even if he did install a server edition on a PC... how can he be not careful enough to get viruses in his machine...

ppl who are computer illiterate get viruses on their computer while ppl who are tech enthusiast write viruses on their computer...

@rediff... stop publishing articles from dumb ppl.....
