People treat their own family members with disdain - and then go looking for rakhi brothers and sisters outside. I always find it strange.

You can be my friend or girlfriend... but no rakhi vakhi thing.. ok.

In chennai, you need to pay money if they tie something on your hand. No money... nobody will tie the band...
(7 or 8 girls refused to tie the band for me because (I think), I paid very little money (as I was not expecting that on a day)
