This online facility is made for smoother work flow, easy IT filling and easy refund procedure with online status checks.
Having said so IT dept. is not so effective, they are just collecting the taxes and do not bother to refund if applicable, in my case it is pending since 2008-09.
I am a Govt. employee. Though I have received Form 16 from my employer ( Govt. of Mah. Dept) showing the tax deducted at source from my salary, the Dept. has not filed the return. The result is my tax credit zero.Will the Income Tax department take action against another Govt. dept for not filing the return?

mr.reddy, if u dont know anything about Income Tax or TDS return, then keep shut everything and be quiet.

I think not mr. reddy , u dont know anything about income taxxxxx, becausee it's not fact that govt ot non -govt, enery one has to file tds who is deducting, samjhee mr arul???????

Very good thought... but i do not see it happening.. as there are too many vested interests to prevent that from happening. Recently judges were eating PF money with the help of a court clerk - later court clerk was found dead in jail. AND NOW ALL ACCUSED JUDGES ARE RELAXING.. their name has been removed by previous CJI of india...
