I disagree with this article. The 'contant' of work (CV) is the most important thing and the cover letter hardly carries any weightage! I am saying this as a recruiter having personally recruited more than 4000 people during the last 15 years for top MNCs.
I would love to get the views of the writer and his experience as a recruiter.
Entire idea of Hiring this way is a stereotypical lifeless rotten street market commodity based westernized syndrome ;which is simply deeply deeply backward and uncivilized approach as far as Indian Intellectual Concept of Education is concerned and only WELCOME to such westernized morons.
