destiny is powerful
by musician on Apr 24, 2010 09:56 AM  | Hide replies

It is all destiny, Luck decides. Luck does not favour all and everybody, but sure at some point of time every individual experiences luck in some form or other though some experience it in a larger way than others.

Its called Karma. Mr. Steves himself beleife in Karma philosophy. As you said that its a meeting point of opportunity, sense of timing and hard work, but the question is that why only all of it cliked with him. There are many people who are more intelligent, more hardworking and in more better situation, but Mr. Steve Jobs or Bill Gates must have better Karma. If there is no Karma, then you can make any fool succeed by just giving him a book on 101 ways of becoming succeful.

I would say..Krishna says never give up on yourself...failure is never permanent and current situation is not permanent...Like a newlife budding from the soil..and turning into giant tree..may all who are looking for better times have faith on Krshna and spread the word of love and confidence to all. He and His Gita are the Sarthi who will guide you to success.

Hare Krishna
by Rahul Yadav on Apr 24, 2010 09:53 AM

He is very much connected with Indian culture since he is a Hare Krishna (ISKCON) follower also. He reads Bhagavat Gita and derives lot of inspiration from them. In the autumn of 1974, Jobs returned to California and began attending meetings of the Homebrew Computer Club with Steve Wozniak. He took a job as
a technician at Atari, a manufacturer of popular video games, with the primary intent of saving money for a spiritual retreat to India.

Jobs then backpacked around India with a Reed College friend (and, later,
the first Apple employee), Daniel Kottke, in search of philosophical
enlightenment. He came back with his head shaved and wearing traditional
Indian clothing.

Do you know operating system in Apple computers never crashes like others. The most widely used and cheap operating system crashes 100 times in a year.Still you are saying this guy can't make decent operating system.
You end up spending thousands of rupees in antivirus upgrading and annual renewal.Instead why don't you spend little more for Mac. Anyway, I will never suggest Steve Jobs to reduce Mac prices,so that it should not be within reach of people like you and me.

We spend more time in repairing the windows than watching the beautiful garden outside it.Mac is a beautiful garden itself in your room which doesn't require you to stand in broken window.

strange
by Dev on Apr 24, 2010 08:18 AM  | Hide replies

strange that both Gates and Steve jobs were college dropouts. actually i think many of the earlier inventors also did not have much formal education. it is just a situation when the culture of trial-and-error and experimentation has been nurtured by sucessive generations

Entrepreneur doesnt require any formal education. Eg. Dhirubai Ambani. But please dont consider them as role model. You can become an entrepreneur only when you go too crazy on it. No one can stop such people

Make a list of opportunities which knocked your door. hundreds of opportunities come and go .But you will say zero.Because you were fast asleep. People like you call it destiny ,some term them as luck. There is no point in talking like this.Luck is nothing but a quickly opened door at the knock of an opportunity.

Remember, the people like petrol bunk vendors who end up owning an empire are having one thing in common they spend less and save more.People like you and me, even if we own a petrol pump, would spend more and save nothing. Similar story is of Warren Buffet. In my opinion, what you require in life to be successful is CREATIVITY MONEY.Either one is not sufficient. Most people lack one or the other.
