Education is a Huge Scam in India
by RSS on Mar 18, 2015 04:11 AM

Parents have to Pay High fees to join their wards to a School or College, Students have to Study 24X7 (Do Classwork, Homework, Record books, Practicals, Attend Tutions, Extra Classes) and have to write exams.

If a Student fails - He or she gets B1asted by Teachers, at home by Parents, Relatives, Friends and Siblings and becomes the Center of Criticism by one and all.

The Students Virtually become Criminals and Vi11ains if they Fail or do not get High marks and percentage and will become an Untouchable for the Rest of His or Her life as Everything depends on Marks cards and Grades with High percentage.

The academically weak student is worse than a cockroach and everyone evade him or her.

Education System in India is highly vindicated, filled with hatred against Indian culture and has made Life miserable for the average and below average students like me.

I find Education highly obnoxious and abusive.

It does not even Guarantee us of a Basic Respectable job with a decent income to go along with the Inflation and economy, neither does it instill pride or respect for a human being and does not impart human values.

The present Indian Educational system is actually western..
by Manu Zach on Aug 30, 2010 06:49 PM

The traditional Indian education system, which involved meditation and Yoga was perfectly designed to enable a student to develop fullu to his potential. The ancient "Gurukul" system was one the the best in the world along with the Greek and Chinese systems.
Once we adopted the western system of education, we had to sweep aside our ancient valueas and traditions. There is no use in lamenting upon the quality of Indian educational system now.

put on your thinking cap

Indian EDucation sorely fails in inculcating critical thinking . The students have to appreciate everything , the school , the management , the lessons and the teachers. No one is allowed to criticise or complain. There is also a kind of fascism by theteachers so the kids just fall in line and don't think at all.

Your education enabled you to think in the way you do now. Just remember that.

You are so correct. Most teachers want the kid to just regurgitate what is taught in the class from the text book than applying what they learnt. I very much doubt kids understand anything they read(as opposed to learn). This is largely in part due to school mills that sprout everywhere, where the teacher is often an unemployed housewife.

Please do not take my comment the wrong way. We still have great schools and great teachers, but it is the cookie cutter approach to education in India that is responsible for the current malaise where a few kids succeed while most others fail.

Does US education allows crtical thinking,,,,..Really ?
by straightlines on Apr 16, 2010 02:09 PM  | Hide replies

Paradoxically it looks like the US is also, is in need of human resources with critical thinking skills. As per the different stories one reads on Internet, it seems, its education systems stress on progressive education methodology had and has created quite a perceivable shortage for its pool of available human resources with critical thinking skills. It seems that the US is making up that gap and loss by attracting a large number of human resources across the globe with scholarships at university level, better paying jobs, work permits, green cards and conferring citizenship etc, etc.

The term human resource is used in keeping with the latest trends in the modern terminology. Like how corporations companies and even governments are using that term now a days to designate the available pool skilled people.. No pun or negative meaning is intended, please. By the by HR department in any company corporation, in earlier days, was called designated as Personnel Department.

Indian education system
by Sudhakar Alur on Apr 15, 2010 01:38 PM  | Hide replies

First of all, we should know that human being is a cultured version of animals. Every animal instinct is survival. Thus, the human being's instinct was also one of survival.

The survival in the sense of animals, is only fetching food for the physical body.

But it is not so in case of human beings. Apart from basic survival of the body, human being wants his mind to survive, face the competition and reach the top.

Thus education has different meaning for different persons. It is different stroke for different folks. We have to make a subtle difference in measuring the need of each human being. There are poor category, who get educated with lot of financial difficulty, for them physical survival itself is the goal. For them education is for the sole purpose of getting jobs. For the people who are comfortable financially only can think of research, invention etc.,; but in our country they are attracted to wrong professions of making more money. Thus the pursuing path of Indian people in education and not the system of education.

Alternatively, the Govt. should have avenues to back up people capable of research and inventions in large scale by taking care of their survival needs.
Lack of proper facility the Indian education is for the basic facility of survival and it fits the same purpose and in fact renowned Internationally for the end result that they are more workaholic and preferred generally.

So please do not curse the education system.

Correction in the third page last but one sentence. Please read as under:
'Thus there is mistake in the pursuing path of Indian people in education and not in the system of education itself'.

Education?
by Johnny Goode on Apr 15, 2010 05:25 AM  | Hide replies

Hello
Its Me Johnny .B. Goode
IBM's Motto -> "THINK"
you can think in ANY Language
its what your thinking about and what it pertains to- Example christopher columbus discovered America- this is in their education curriculum from elementary level to grade 12 and post secondary-the U.S. has an excellent education system, military complex, modern infrastructure and legal system and NOT ONE of the Supreme Court justices is a "CITIZEN"- they gave themselves citizenship after they stole and entire continent and committed "GENOCIDE" against the NATIVES
citizenship should not be granted to or taken away from muslim kashmiris whose ancestors butchered their way into Kashmir neither should Pakkkeees ever be considered citizens of pakkkee stan or immigrant citizens of subcontinent let them ALL go to their beloved home lands where they will find their muslim fathers ancestors who raped their mothers to revile in their present existence
education my assss

Role of Western Thought in Indian mind set....
by QandA QandA on Apr 15, 2010 01:54 AM

THERE IS A HUGE GAP IN THE WESTERN AND EASTERN MINDSET for the one basic following reason..

You think in your mother tounge but interact in a foreign language... The result is CHAOOS.

The Japanese think and function in Japanese..
The Chinese think and function in Chinese..

But the colonia South East Asia is kinda lost in a big blurr of CHAOOS...

Intellectual Progress happens if people interact and think in their own mother tongue.. At least at the earlier stage of the up bringing...

THE BRITISH CONQUERED INDIA BY SPREAD THEIR ENGLISH WHICH WAS FREELY AVAILABLE TO POPULAR LEADERS..

NOW THE MATTERS ARE SO WORSE THAT A PERSON STUDIED IN THEIR OWN MOTHER TONGUE IN INDIA IS LOOKED AS A LOWER CASTE.. I bet this cannot happen in Europe....

The fact of the matter is INDIA IS SO DIVERESE THAT it will never ever achieve its full potential 'Cos outsiders can easily influence it..
