Apple never innovates, but it simply re-engineers. Apple hasnt created anything new (phone, laptop, now some crap pad, music player etc etc). But it made attractive products... I appreciate their marketing skills.
Now innovation is something what Motorola, Sony, Samsung, IBM, TI etc. did. Truely ground breaking technology, which was foundation for what Apple and Google are hying now !
if technology is affordable and reach of everyone, easy to use...it can be of use .......blend of technology, ideas, people, govt. everything is needed to listen to problems.......than it will be mass mobile......

Will the softwares and other technologies to be installed ans used in parallel to this entertainment touchscreen toy be cheap? Can this Toy replace our everyday office / corporate projects like can we work on connecting this toy to Oracle/SAP etc?
Well probably iPad will be replaced from the shelves of the stores soon. Anyways I encourage people who are curious about it to buy and try it out.. Faults and defects will come out and then someone can build a new product fixing these defects and at lower cost and sensible features

When you live in a dungeon, everything seems dark! Countries grow not by having a call center but by innovation. What was a fad 10 years ago is now a commodity. Hope you got the point!

A H1 consultant from India, posing as a techie when back home? Dude I know you guys dont do anything more than some stupid sharepoint, jsp, java and what is that crap...ahhh .net applications.
Well, here in India we build new silicon area and software(for your petty brain, we call it drivers, stacks, and system software aka libraries), so that phones like droid, corby, and what is that in your hand, that comes out.
Now call it callcenter job or innovation, I am enjoying my work here dude. No visa hassles and nightmares to pose as a techie...
PS: Next time I meet an Indian from America, I will ask him some low level fundamentals. Lets see where they stand in their innovation

Mr suresh, u seem to have missed an important point... there are many innovations out there in the market, it is upto the people to choose what right for them balancing the usefulness and expenditure. When people couldn't balance, they might end up spending more than the value of the product (value for money). And people like you talk rubbish about india and its callcenters, not knowing the fact that, u urself are an idiot with no knowledge of technology. Hence, u call ipad an innovation. FYI "Innovation is a new way of doing something or "new stuff that is made useful"- WIKIPEDIA... I don't want to teach u english... i just want others reading this not feel that countries grow not by by having a call center, but by innovation. And idiots like you should know more about india, before talking like a jackass... mind u next time, when generalizing things about my country.

Not sure about your 'low level fundamentals', but your market perception is skewed. Recession (bearish) happens when it becomes a sellers market, a buyers market is a bullish. BTW, Indian Americans include a name 'Vinod Dham', I am sure you have heard of him. Device drivers, stacks, libraries is useless without what he made. BTW, take any area code in US, your last name would be found in plenty, especially motel operators in US eash coast and they are doing well.
