Great idea
by PUSHPANADHAM KARANAM on Apr 05, 2010 10:40 PM

Let me appreciate Dr.Maniar and her student for this great idea on the lines of University social responsibility. I really feel such developmental projects need to be initiated at university level right from the under graduate level and I am sure such experiences empower students to think for the human safety and welfare. This project is simply an act of creativity and concern for the social development.

Courtesy & Professional Interest - JobsForElderly
by ashok kumar on Apr 05, 2010 04:29 PM  | Hide replies

JobsForElderly is an unique attempt in India, fully appreciated. Having travelled far and wide in West / Europe, we have experienced the elderly engagements very deeply in tourism & hospitality, logistics and such other active professions. Many have shared how indepedent they have been, respectfully away from their kith & kin.
May I know if you have ventured this in Bangalore / Mysore and other townships in India.Let me know if you are keen to kick start. Regards

Ashok Meda

This thinking and to work on the same is great. The elderly people will be self dependent and will get respect evry where. The society will also be benefited by gettting their expertise long experience at a cheaper rate, since they will be ready to work at low rate in coparision to youngers. The contact address should be given. At present most of the elderly people are in dark, but now they would get a light in their JEENSANDHYA.
