The pictures posted here are no doubt very beautifull, but rediff was asking for offbeat locations but what they have posted are mostly famous hill stations and the two places really unheard of that i had sent namely tirthan valley and munsyari are not posted
It simply proves India can offer Switzerland, New-Zealand and anything at home itself. Its matter of pumping more professionalism and creating good infrastructure. Jai Ho India.

YES ANUP I AGREE . INDIAN IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES ON EARTH AND ONLY ONE THING WE NEED TO DO.. JUST CLEAN IT.STOP THROWING THINGS ON STREETS. STOP PISSING AND SHITTING ON STREETS. THAT WILL MAKE IT THE BEST PLACE ON PLANET EARTH

also construction of houses and hotels etc in these tourist towns should have good design and enhance the town. maybe also the govt. should maintain these places like the Archaeological/Heritage dept is taking care of monuments at present

i have met several tourists specially europeans and they are in awe for the beauty of ladakh region
many said they havent seen anything like this before
kashmir state alone is enuf to put india at the pinnacle of world tourism but alas there still might be some time to go before it happens
People, it would be great if other details are furnished alongwith the pictures like: 1. where is it situated 2. how far is it from a rail station/airport/nearest well known town etc. 3. what is the time of the year that the picture was taken 4. what sort of accomodation did the picture taker stay in 5. what would be the budget recommended and the duration of the stay thst the budget would be valid for.
there are many good destinations real beautyfull places, people ,culture.lives,foods, thoughts,songs..........people along with places makes a place beautyfull.......apart from natural beauty.......
everybody has an opinion and every body have the rights to express...and these messages are one of the medium. But one should think before writing all the s**t by dividing India into 1000000000000000 pieces and developing hatred towards each other. There is at least emotional sense if you praise India and degrade some other country (that to unneccesary)...what the hell you will get by degrading some part of your own country infront of the world like this its like saying 'my bed room is excellent and kitchen is s**t or 'my eyes are beautiful and my ears are of elephants'.....does it make any sense, so think before you write....this country will not be divided so when we say India its from Kashmir to Kanya kumari...so degrading some part is degrading yourself......grow up
