If you really think that the consumer has the power and not the seller or the company then answer my single simple query. The inflation in food price index had been pinching the whole middle class were we able to control it. In US, the consumer and the structure of consumer base is different and things are manageable there. Here, in India.. say 2000 or 20000 consumers try to negotiate with Reliance telecom for certain kind of bargain, can they do that? Ok... Let us talk about US now.. if everybody in US start thinking of deferring there needs.. then try me the 1/4th or chinese and minimum 18-20% of economic will sink for sure.
The blog makes an interesting reading at the same time laying emphasis on how to curtail expenditure and avoid unnecessary purchases. In this article no mention has been made about the credit cards. Many middle class people use credit cards which ultimately land them in trouble. When you are able to purchase something without actually paying for it in cash the chances are that you are tempted to buy things which may not be so essential for your life. At one stage, the amount drawn from the credit card is so much that the card holder is unable to meet the amount. The blog gives instances as to how to curtail expenditure to save on the income. A useful blog and such blogs will benefit all.
Hi, I have read this book...this is real good but is written more in US context so one has to take lessons from it and make it relevant in Inidan scenario.
