Attempt should be made to understand what the candidate KNOWS.

Not what the candidate does NOT KNOW.

No and they should never thought so coz they are puppet in the hand of their Bosses. So only the boss orders and so called HRs try fulfilling the formality.

1. Interviewers are shallow, too much importance to first impression

2. Interviewer will explore "What you dont know" instead of "What you know" Kinda like ego-massage for interviewers

3. Cultural side effects like aggressiveness, attitude etc overwhelming the decision for the interviewer
