Hey Niharika, well the scores really depend from person to person. I think u need to compete with yourself. I too have been analysing my improvement over time. U should give Online Mock CATs on websites that give u detailed analysis.. it helps!
Also, if your interested, my study group is going to attempt the same Mock CAT that is freely available. We will then assess our performance. I suggest u do the same with your own group... All the best!

CAT preparation, when it's just three montgs left!

Certain things in this article which I disagree with:

1. "More practice does not improve your scores" - When it is three months remaining for the test, the best one can do is practice more and more so that the level of ease and speed of solving the paper increases. With more practice, the ease of identification of a question increases, hence the time taken to solve it decreases.

2. "one of the good ways to actually improve is to go back to the sums you have solved and see if you can solve them in a better way." - You have to find a method which you can apply the fastest on a question. A better method may not be the fastest method. Moreover, the goal is to solve the question, it doesnt matter how. Looking for better methods can be done when you have ample time remaining for the exam. With just over 90 days in your hand, stick with the methods you have been following and practice to minimize the time taken to apply those methods.

3. "Another way to improve is to study in groups or study with someone who is better than you. Learn from other students' methods. Also help them with your methods." - Again, this is something which should NOT be done. You are not here in a research competition where the best way to solve a problem would be awarded. Infact, learning other's methods will only add to confusion and deteriorated performance.

Why is there not a single comment here? Nothing to discuss?
