We need to revise the system of education
by ritu advani on Sep 07, 2009 12:35 PM

In India, it is the time factor... it takes years to make a change.
In villages, due to the shortage of power, it is difficult to use computers at home.. TIme factor is crucial... Computers could be set up in villages for schools to study from.. This will help those kids who travel by foot/bus to reach their school in an hour. The quality of education will improve as more qualified teachers will be hired for computer technology.
In MUmbai there is a constant scramble to get admission in the best college due to the limitation of seats.. With the introduction of computer education, a student can enroll on the net and study without having to travel to college.. of course during exams,he/she will have to answer their examination questions on site in college.e.g.This way a student from Delhi could enroll in the engineering college he so desires in Pune..

Indian education system....
by shyam patel on Sep 07, 2009 12:18 PM  | Hide replies

Indian education system needs huge changes from its basic level.

Indian edu system is like system for training slaves...who don't require to have IQ...just do what is written...

This sort of education lacks in creativities. Students should not have creativity..."do what is being said...don't show new idea"...this way killing the creativity.

Well, our less paid teachers, sometimes lack new ideas...how one can expect huge change...

Hi Shyam
As you say, our system lacks creativity...however, what is being tried in India is fine in order to first get the basic education in place (at least until the middle school). Only after this stage is creativity possible on a valuable scale. At this level, education needs a redressal in India. Presently only rote learning is happening even at this young adolescent stage when students tend to have the greatest creativity. And, yes, teachers need better pay and moreover appreciation and respect which they lack badly in our country. They should be given the status they deserve for 'future society makers'.
