Chhattisgarh, India's best-kept secret
by dp singh on Mar 13, 2015 11:33 AM  | Hide replies

No doubt it is lavish green and a excellent water fall but the problem is the insurgency and also the public transport to the spot is very poor.I travelled by my own car and stayed there for nearly two hours but was quite panicky also.
I had been to the spot with my wife in the year 2007 but hardly I could get a cup of tea.The tourist may not be in two digit even.Few building were under construction and could under stand from the local resident that these buildings are being constructed by the state tourism department, hope these building might have come up .
State tourism department must promote this spot and conduct the tour regularly.

one foolish will visit and take photographs and post on facebook , seeing this other foolish will visit . then there will be a crowd visiting - then a big road will be constructed -- then buildings will be constructed - and hotels will be set up -- sewage water from the buildings will be put in the river , We have seen that all good water rivers in india have been turned into gutters by good indian governance -- that's what Indians are famous for - SO better this place is occoupied by naxals -- FO THAT FOOLISH CITY PEOPLE who only have sence of money/girlfriend/ hotels / discos/ selfishness/ -- don't travel to such places .

the indian city people only know to turn hill stations to concrete jungles -- /daru-dukan -makan- chicken/girlfriend/ car / flat/ -- is development for them for their whole life revolves around it .

Fresh views, and good indeed... hordes, hordes of mindless tourists burning petrol would just finish the natural aura of any place and create nuisance to the maximum extent...

I was fined Rs.200/- for wrong parking there in Jagadalpur. I definitely thought the money is not going to the goverment but to the pocket of these policemen as it happen in most of the occasion in our country. To my surprise these policemen came back within half an hour to hand me the original money receipt after remitting the same in govt.account. couldn't believe!!!!!!

The write up would have convinced me to visit the state if the slideshow had good images. What a let down to read such a positive review of a location and then refer to images that are simply pathetic. I wish were as good at photography as you are with writing...

thats coz he probably went at the wrong time "MAY". If you go here in June/July (Monsson), these waterfalls are amazing. and the cave is a real cave...nothing artificial there, not a drop of sunlight...a true adventure....I have seen 100's of waterfalls in India but nothing like Jagdalpur...believe me...

ya the pics were really dull. Can't these nuts capture...... a magnificent waterfalls, at least 40 m tall trees, scenic sunrise/sunset, beautiful trekking hills etc. Should we travel for peanuts?
