most horrible part of india is the level of disgust people have with their own country.

other horrible part is most indians like mukherji think india is the south of france and there is no room for improvement ,if that wud change and indians realise there is a lot of change to be done like not spittin and pee n on the roads and honking like cats then we cud be proud of it

@raj_arora Nobody is saying that india is the best. India needs change, and change can happen only when you have the pride of ownership.
The Indian who spits/pees on the road is doing it because he is already disgusted with the road. The same person wouldn't spit/pee in his own house because he is proud of it.
if you want our country to change, don't be disgusted by it. Be proud of it and try to instil the same pride in the people around you.
@IndiaWins all Do read the book "making breakthrough innovation happen" by porus munshi to get a feel of innovation in india.

all u guys are absolutely wrong. Indian cities are the most colorful in the world. I have been all across the world. What u find everywhere is a very plastic and boring world. Just imagine u are made to stay in switzerland for 1 month and all u see is neighborhood with no one outside. In india life is very entertaining, just dealing with government and traffic is a bit painful, but then friends we are the people whos a part of the population then why are we complaining.

"gulab jamun desserts three times a week -- like any other Mumbaikar" ... Somehow I have missed on this experience of being in Mumbai. Also didn't realize this earlier - I should start selling GulabJamun in Mumbai - should be huge business opportunity...:)
Who cares this Dutch like dosa - India won Nehru cup in a thriller that too against a higher ranking side...but Rediff won’t give importance to any such good news about India…they will report about a cricketers hummer car or all negative things happens in our country…

see, no matter how many times you write criticisms like this , rediff will never change thats the charisma of rediff ,they have no shame whatever and definitely no discrimination in journalism, but they are creative and very very middle class indian,no other website comes close, these are part of the immaturity of the new gen y ,it will mature in its own time. but remember u andme waste time commeting but balakrishnan sits on his adss making money . cheers
Such kind of articles make me feel sick... Britishers left us more than 60 years back, we still remain enslaved in our mind. Would we have any similar article in US or UK saying " This Indian New Torker loves Steak and Ham" or for that matter "This south Indian Londoner loves mash potatoes"
Re: Sick
by BloodHound on Sep 02, 2009 11:33 AM
change it to'north indian loving mash potatoes" and "south indian loving steak or ham". North indian cant eat anything other than potatoes.
