It is not just the Bands. Indians (especially the Urban citizens and Youth) have followed the west in many other aspects of life as well. Be it Junk Food, dressing up, Valentines day, etc, follow the west seems to be the norm. Of course, there are many good aspects in the west and these are just ignored!

i agree.we follow things blindly.anything that is easy to follow we have copied..but somethings like civic sense, driving sense etc which require efforts,we have choosen to stay way.As usual we indian always like to take the easy path without responsibilities.i feel sad and bad for myself and my country

Reality check: no one will buy Ind rock albums
by Oomshik Tooshik on Oct 30, 2009 02:38 PM  | Hide replies

At any show the audience wants these bands to play covers of popular western rock bands. No one cares about their originals, fewer still recall them or buy these CDs. Story of Indian 'rock' forever. Stick to classical, stick to plagiaristic Bollywood.
