Sir, I want to gift Rs. 25000/- each to my 2 nephews who are about 8-10 years old for there future (say for their college edgucation). How can I do this? Please advise.
I visited one of the branches of Relaince Mutual fund in Pune with the intension of investing in their Infrastructure fund. There I was redirected to meet one of their agents only. Since I visited on my own and since it is my direct investment, the agent insisted me the other way, which resulted in me making me a choice to opt out of investment. Investors please be careful while doing with your investments.
Anil has mentioned that "no entry load is applicable for all SIP enrollments post August 2009. All SIPs prior to that will have the entry load deduction: this will be the case in the example given by you." to one question. But this is not the case.
I had a SIP in HDFC Growth fund,Reliance Growth Fund and Reliance Vision Fund.I found that entry load was being charged even after 1st Aug 2009. When I enquired from them, they told that as I had started my SIP before 1st Aug,2009, entry load will be continued to be charged and will be waived only on any fresh investments made. I have since then discontinued my SIP's with these fund houses. They are real suckers.
