I stayed at Chennai for one month, I stayed at Bangalore for 2 months, I went to CMC Vellore and stayed there for 15 days, I stayed at Hyderabad for 3 days and out of that I visited Bangalore 10-12 times. I have some experience which I would like to share with you.
Chennai is a hot, dirty place, during rainy season small rainfall can jeopardise city's life, but Appollo Hospital and Ramchandra Medical College is good, people of Chennai can understand Hindi but will not speak in Hindi till their lives are there.
CMC Vellore though is overcrowded but people are helpful and they speak in Hindi with outsiders and Doctors and staff members are also good.
In my opinion Bangalore is the most beautiful city, not only for its nature but also the behaviour of common people, Doctors, Nurses etc. Actually Kannada people are very simple in nature. The people of Bangalore drink but always keep their temperament cool, otherwise Police will punish them.
Hyderabad is also a nice city, especially the road from S'bad to H'bad.
Conclusion : everywhere I went at Southern part of India, I always felt myself proud to be an Indian, for its cleanliness (R.Station, gentle behaviour and helping attitude of the common people, people can move anywhere wearing Gold, Diamond Jewelleries, Doctors and Nursing staffs are so good that they listen patiently from the patients and their relatives, tells everything about the disease to them etc. etc. The list will not end.

Perhaps you have not visited Kerala. That is also a better place as you liked kannad people.But do visit North India and be ready to have the shock of your life. We in North India excel in every thing - good as well as bad, but certainly we tilt more to the negative side. The reasons perhaps is that we have lot of leaders living in Delhi and around.
If Dr.Ramachandra, mentioned in this article is reading this article, he should bow his head in shame. You can walk into any care hospital in Hyderabad, and the picture of neglect hits you in the face right from the porch and parking. you can see lobby with insufficient lighting, insufficient seating, security guards more in number trying to put off people than the hospital care personnel, and this is only at the lobby level.
you can walk into their flagship hospital at Banjara Hills, and every patient room, without exception shouts at you that it need IMMEDIATE repair, renovation and upgradation. You visit their hospital at Nampally, and you have see it to trust, They have erected a huge shamiana, yes, shamiana, the tent, to put outpatients waiting for their turn to consult the doctor. if this is the result of a hospital administrator, everyone, beware before you join the course!
